Lately, I have been thinking about photographing subjects differently. I used to always photograph in a very "2D" way. Everything was flat, and right in front of the viewer. I know that is good sometimes and there is a time and place for it.
However, this shoot was intended to gaze past the 2D eyes and show the force the energy of the sun has on living things.
Why is there a sense of refreshment and relief when we sit and sunbathe for hours? Why do we smile when the sun comes out after a long gloomy week? Why do we decide to spend time off away from home to go to a tropical heat sensation of a location? It fuels us. I think humans carry similar energy that the sun does.
